Not quite eight years old, Julian became fascinated with early MTV. Inspired by the music and videos, Julian requested a guitar and lessons for his eighth birthday. His parents were happy to oblige and thus began his involvement with music.
Julian attended several programs at the Berklee College of Music in Boston as a teen. He also studied under the expert tutelage of guitar virtuoso, Alex Skolnick for a period of 4 years.
After finishing his degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara, he returned to the San Francisco Bay Area to pursue a career in aerospace. Following the "Dotcom" bust, Julian relocated to sunny Southern California where the engineering sciences had a much healthier pulse.
Throughout the years, Julian continued to play the guitar and sing daily. Towards the end of his schooling, he began writing and recording on the electric guitar and collaborated with several musicians, including Adam Rich of Pressure 4-5 who sang in one of his earlier recordings.
In recent years, Julian has focused more on acoustic music and written almost exclusively on the acoustic guitar. Since originally moving back to the Bay Area, he played numerous shows per month, continuing to draw larger audiences with his fresh and unique music with sincere lyrics. Now just getting settled in Orange County, Julian is scoping out the local music scene ready to make his mark on a new audience...
